The goal is to have DSM (PDF Image) appear as good or better than original ink.
Before Scan
1. Original sheet music that has been used and marked on by the players.
A. Pencil Marks - thoroughly erase marks with good quality Hi-Polymer eraser.
B. Non-pencil Marks - fix later with Image Editor Software.
2. Clean Scanners to prevent from getting stray marks not on the original.
During Download (scanner, email attachment, computer file)
3. Review and indicate on "Master Control Sheet" any part that needs to be fixed.
After Download
4. Use Image Editor Software to fix each part
How to Fix
Immediately after loading an instrument part into the Title Master Directory.
1. Startup Image Editor Software.
2. Open File to fix.
3. Page (Straighten, Rotate, Eraser).
4. Edit (Undo, etc).
5. View (Best Fit, Fit Width, Zoom In, Zoom Out).
6. Annotate (Draw Line).
7. Save File after fix.
8. Confirm OK using File Viewer Utility.
